A writing desk is a small desk where someone will have enough space to write. A full sized desktop computer is too large to sit completely on top of a writing desk, but a laptop will fit perfectly. The writing desk is popular choices for home offices and dorm rooms where homework and term papers are written. Often times, writing desks can be found in a larger office as a secondary desk to allow the computer to take up the needed space on the main desk. A writing desk may or may not have a small drawer big enough for pens and maybe a notebook, but the storage capacity is minute compared to a computer desk. A fully functioning writing desk is designed for a small laptop or a notebook, more than just a place to write. They are not intended to be the primary desk of an office worker, but are excellent choices for students. Writing desks typically do not take up much square footage and can be placed in a variety of positions in an office, dorm, or bedroom.
